Reunion 2009


Committee members hard at work!




La Jolla High School class of 1964 is having their 45th reunion on Saturday, September 19, 2009, from 5 - 10 p.m. at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club.

    Fabulous reunion last evening at the LJ Beach and Tennis Club. Melanie Moore Maxon did an outstanding job with the table decorations. Julie Bowman Fiss selected a delicous menu and coordinated the Beach Club venue, Kathy Shoemaker Fellers provided the classic nametags from our senior album and Carla Marriner Bowlin coordinated all the communications between the classmates over the past six months. Art Harris provided his glass blowing handicraft creating gorgeous scarlet and black vases that were given to Julie and Carla for their hard work.
    Travelling from out of state, it was wonderful to see Charlie Youkey in from Missouri and Charlie Geist flew down from Alaska and
    Jean McCloud from Arkansas, to mention a few.
    Bill Robert made the exhausting trip from Solana Beach that caused him to arrive late and leave early, therefore missing the setting up and the cleaning up phase of the party planning. His shining personality made up for it though.
    I look forward to the phonos that will be posted on the site and read of other's enjoyment of the evening. Susie Morse
